Peter Kolman (born in 1937 in Bratislava) is a [[:Category: Slovakia|Slovak]] composer. He studied composition at the Conservatory and the Academy of Music in Bratislava, and initially worked as a radio journalist and music editor at the [[:Category:Czechoslovakia|Czechoslovak]] Radio. From 1965 to 1977 he was one of the founders and the director of the Electroacoustic Studio of the Slovak Radio in Bratislava. In 1977 he moved to Austria, where he worked as an editor for the music publisher Universal Edition in Vienna until 2002. He is now active as a freelance composer.
