Čao pičke was a [[:Category:Slovenian|Slovenian]] post-punk music group from Ljubljana, active from 1981 to 1984.[1] The band members were singer Alenka "Marsa" Marsenič (who also collaborated with the groups [[Berlinski zid]], [[Tožibabe]] and [[Borghesia]]), bassist Ljubomir "Kope" Kopač, guitarist (later bassist) Iztok Vidmar (who collaborated with Orkester Titanic and was the bassist in Lolita) and drummer Jani Sever.[2][3]

The band is said to have found its name after its members wrote a greeting, "Hi Cunts" on a piece of paper intended for the three organizers of a punk concert they were participating in, which the organizers understood as the name of the group. [4]

== Biography ==
Singer Alenka Marsenič once said that the band was formed in parallel with the famous punk club FV. Fourteen-year-old Alenka was very young at the time, especially compared to the other members of the group. [5] They rehearsed in the former rehearsal space of the Bulldozer group next to the Student Disc (later called the FV club - after the takeover of the FV-112/15 theater group, from which Borghesia later emerged).

Their first songs were recorded in Radio Študent's studio, and the released material was released in 1983 on the cassette "Via Ofenziva / Čao pičke", which was shared with the group [[Via Ofenziva]].[6] Čao pičke's songs were on the B side of the tape. The album was published by ŠKUC (Student Cultural Center), which also released records by [[Laibach]] and various punk groups. In the fall of 1983, they performed at the Novi Rock Festival.

In 1984, the songs "Song B" and "What I Tell You" were published on RTV Ljubljana's 84-48 compilation. That same year, the group disbanded.

In 2014, Swedish label No! Records released a new album by the group with remastered versions of 17 songs from when they were active, called ''The Sun in the Eyes''. [4][7]
