Horia Surianu (born July 3, 1952 in Timisoara) is a [[:Category:Romania|Romanian]] composer and musicologist. He studied composition at the conservatory in Bucharest. He has lived in France since 1983. Since 1997 he has been a full professor at the Bagnolet and Massy Conservatory and president of the Association Culturelle d'Expansion Musicale, Paris.

His work includes symphonic music, chamber music, ballet music, theater, film, choral music and electronic music performed on radio or in concerts in Austria, Belgium, the [[:Category:Czech Republic|Czech Republic]], Cuba, France, Germany, [[:Category:Greece|Greece]], Italy, [[:Category:Yugoslavia|Yugoslavia]], [[:Category:Poland|Poland]], United Kingdom, [[:Category:Romania|Romania]], United States, [[:Category:Slovakia|Slovakia]], Netherlands.
