Anton Nikkilä is a Finnish journalist, musician and composer whose work since the beginning of the 1990s has had several points of contact with underground music from Eastern Europe, particularly from its post-Soviet period: he collaborated for over 10 years with Russian musician Alexei Borisov, a key figure in the Moscow experimental community, specialising as an investigator and promoter of industrial music produced between 1980 and 2000.
He began making music in the 80s with the band Swissair, while simultaneously running the cassette label Valtavat Ihmesilmälasit Records. Later he moved on towards electronic music, both as a solo artist (having released his solo debut in 1998 on the Russian Exotica label) and in collaboration with Alexei Borisov, which whom he also launched the label/publication series N&B Research Digest.
