He is the author of the first autonomous electro-acoustic composition in Slovakia - Orthogenesis (1966 - 1968), which in 1969 won 3rd place in the finals of the world competition in Darmouth College Hanover (New Hampshire, USA). Jozef Malovec (born March 24, 1933 in Hurbanovo - died October 7, 1998 in Bratislava ) was a Slovak composer.

Biography

He studied privately with Ján Zimmer and continued his studies with Alexandra Moyzes at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts with Jaroslav Řídke and Vladimír Sommer . In addition to his compositional activities, he worked in the Slovak Radio as an editor, dramaturge and director of the Experimental Studio of the Czechoslovak Radio in Bratislava.
