Vladislav Viktorovich Makarov (born December 11, 1949 in Kaluga) is a Russian musician and artist, cellist, founder and inspirer of the “Smolensk school of new improvisational music” [1]. He lives and works in Smolensk.


Biography

Vladislav Makarov graduated from the graphic arts department of the Smolensk Pedagogical Institute. Since 1980, he began public performances as a cellist, active in free improvisation, free jazz, and alternative rock.
