Rauno Remme (26 January 1969 Tallinn - 15 March 2002 Tallinn ) was an [[:Category: Estonia|Estonian]] musician and artist, considered by some to be one of the first Estonian multimedia artists.

As a composer he deemed visual and multimedia concepts to be equal to music. He created music for chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras, electronic, electroacoustic, video and multimedia works, sound and video installations, and film and theatre music.

Rauno Remme was the founder of the electronic music studio of the Estonian Academy of Music in 1993.

He studied piano at Tallinn Music High School (1975 - 1983, with Ülle Sisa), oboe (1980–1983, with Tulike Loorits), music theory and sound art (1980 - 1986, with Heino Lemmik and Alo Põldmäe). In 1991 he graduated cum laude under the guidance of Jaan Räätsa in composition at the Tallinn Conservatory. Between 1996 and 1997 he studied film and video art at Tallinn Pedagogical University and passed the Estonian Academy of Arts' multimedia course. Rauno Remme continued his music studies at the Estonian Academy of Music under the guidance of Erkki-Sven Tüür and Lepo Sumera , but did not complete it. He attended several classes at the University of Helsinki and the Sibelius Academy, and in 1992 he took part in summer music courses in Darmstadt. In 1994, he studied at the New York City University studio and in the same year participated in a multimedia exposition at Ohio Northern University. In 1996, his video work Piilutorn [Peeptower] received a Grand Prix at the exhibition "Estonia as a Sign" at the Soros Center for Contemporary Arts, Estonia.

Over the 1989–1992 period, Remme served as the head of the Sound Production Service for students at the Tallinn Conservatory - Until 1999, he was the head of the Electronic Music Studio of Estonian Academy of Music, and until 2001, a lecturer. He also worked as sound engineer (Klesment Audio Productions / ARM Music, 2000-2001).
