Nikolai Kopernik

Nikolai Kopernik (also known as Nicolaus Copernicus) is a Russian rock band from Moscow, whose music is also influenced by funk, art rock, psychedelia, electronics and new wave. The leader of the group is singer, guitarist and composer Yuri Orlov. The group was formed in 1981 and over the 12 years of its existence it has released several albums. Their debut, "Rodina" (1986), was included in Kushnir's book "100 Tape Albums of Soviet Rock". In 1993 the group disbanded, but returned in 2005 with a new line up.
