Pavel Kopecký

Pavel Kopecký is a Czech composer, musician and pedagogue.
Biography
Czech composer Pavel Kopecký studied piano and cello before graduating from the Electro-Technical Secondary School into employment with the sound department of Czech TV. He later studied composition, piano, and music pedagogy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and at the Summer Courses in Siena, Italy with Franco Donatoni. Upon graduation he was granted a post-graduate scholarship to the Moscow State Conservatory to work with Nikolai Sidelnikov. Kopecký teaches in the both the Department of Music and Sound and the Film and TV School at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, as well as in the Jaroslav Ježek Jazz Conservatory.
