Vitor Manuel Ferreira Rua, better known as Vitor Rua (Mesão Frio, 23rd July 1961) is a Portuguese musician, producer and composer.
A self taught guitarist and composer, he dedicated most of his life to rock, musique concrete, electronics, electroacoustic and improvised music, having started his career in the 70s as part of the King Fischers Band and later as one of the founders of the Portuguese pop-rock outfit GNR, from which he would eventually resign in a very public manner through a manifesto. Afterwards he founded the duo Telectu with Jorge Lima Barreto, where he has been one of the leading figures in Portuguese experimental and improvised music.
